Minister for Creative Industries

Martin Foley MP is the Minister for Creative Industries in the Victorian State Government. He also has responsibility for the social justice portfolios of Housing, Disability and Ageing, Mental Health, and Equality, advancing the rights of LGBTI people. He has been a Member of Parliament since 2007 and served as opposition spokesperson for the arts. His electorate of Albert Park has a rich cultural heritage, and is home to a wide range of creative organisations, venues, businesses and practitioners, as well as Melbourne’s arts precinct. In April 2016, Minister Foley launched Victoria's first creative industries strategy, Creative State.
