Dancer/Choreographer

Based in Western Australia, Joshua is originally from QLD, of Kalkadoon heritage and identifies with having a disability. His practice takes many forms and moves between the more traditional investigative processes to moments of the bizarre. He is an activist passionate about providing opportunities for those who are unseen and making work that is relevant both politically and culturally in the disability-lead arts practice environment. He toured nationally and internationally for LINK Dance Company, and has been awarded two Australia Council grants for professional development where he engaged internationally with companies such as Candoco, Spinn, Stopgap, Indepen-Dance, Stopgap and Skanes Dansteater. He currently divides his time between the East Coast on various artistic projects and New Zealand, where he works as a dancer for the integrated dance company Touch Compass.
