Theatre Artist
Founder-Director, Lost & Found Trust

Mallika Taneja is a New Delhi based artist and Founder-Director of Lost & Found, a non-profit organisation bringing the arts to neighbourhoods in alternative spaces. She believes in the power of performance to bring about change in the society that she inhabits. Her performances as well as the endeavours undertaken by her organisation seek to challenge audiences, raise uncomfortable questions and make a dent in popular, hardened notions and cultures. She was awarded the ZKB Acknowledgement Prize at the Zurich Theatre Spektakel 2015 for Thoda Dhyaan Se (Be Careful), a twenty-minute satirical piece on how women should be 'safe'. Mallika has since performed at festivals such as Les Urbaines, Lausanne, ITFoK, India and La Villette, Paris. Alternate spaces are a particular interest, one that she explores by performing and curating in unusual spaces.
