  Ahmed 'Knowmadic' Ali is an award winning Somali-born spoken word poet, entertainer and educator. He is known to engage social issues with a humorous, but compelling perspective. In 2011, Ahmed Ali was part of the triumphant team that won the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word championship. He is the co-founder and current artistic director of the Breath In Poetry Collective.   Ahmed ‘Knowmadic’ Ali est un slameur, artiste et enseignant primé d’origine somalienne. Il est reconnu pour aborder les problèmes sociaux avec humour mais de façon engageante. En 2011, Ahmed Ali faisait partie de l’équipe qui a remporté le championnat du Canadian Festival of Spoken Word. Il est également le cofondateur et le directeur artistique du collectif Breath in Poetry. Ahmed est membre de plusieurs conseils communautaires dont le Edmonton Arts Council, au sein duquel il préside le comité d’équité.
