  Ása Richardsdóttir is the project leader of Ice Hot Reykjavík 2018, the biannual Nordic Dance Platform and ambassador for the Nordic Culture Fund. Ása has led a versatile career in arts, culture, academia, banking, politics and media. She was a television reporter at RÚV Iceland, founder of theatre, Kaffileikhusid, executive director of Iceland Dance Company, president of Performing Arts Iceland and creative producer for various artistic projects. After the collapse of the Icelandic bank system in 2008 she was appointed one of five directors of the board of the New Landsbankinn, the largest resurrected bank in Iceland. Ása has been a catalyst in bringing international attention to Icelandic performing arts and Nordic dance. She is active in politics and was elected as city councillor in 2014.

  Ása Richardsdóttir est la responsable du projet Ice Hot Reykjavik 2018, la prochaine édition de la biannuelle Nordic Dance Platform, et l’ambassadrice du Nordic Culture Fund. Elle a mené une carrière polyvalente dans les arts, la culture, l’éducation, la finance, la politique et les médias. Elle a été journaliste télé pour RÚV Iceland, fondatrice du théâtre Kaffileikhusid, directrice générale de la Iceland Dance Company, présidente de Performing Arts Iceland et productrice pour divers projets artistiques.

Après l’effondrement du système bancaire islandais en 2008, Ása a été nommée parmi les cinq directeurs du conseil d’administration de la New Landsbankinn, la plus grande banque islandaise ressuscitée. Elle a joué un rôle important dans la mise en valeur à l’échelle internationale des arts de la scène islandais et de la danse nordique. Elle est active en politique et a été élue conseillère municipale en 2014.
