Help us congratulate ISPA member Max Wagner on his recent appointment as the new Managing Director at the Bavarian National Opera at Gärtnerplatz in Munich! Below is a press release with additional details.
On November 1, Max Wagner will take up the position of managing director
of the Bavarian National Opera at
Gärtnerplatz in Munich. Previously he served for six years as the managing
director of the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra. Max Wagner, who originally hails
from Munich:
"I am looking forward to the new task in my home city and to the
collaboration with artistic director Josef E. Köpplinger.”
Along with the daily
tasks of a managing director, Max Wagner will also be responsible for the
renovation of the theater and its reopening in time for the 2015/16 season.
"We
welcome the new managing director with open arms. There couldn’t be a better
person for the job!” says Köpplinger about Max Wagner, who studied law and
singing.
