Barbash Arts Consulting is co-producing virtuoso saxophonist Ted Nash’s Residency at the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) from August 15 through August 20, 2016.

Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) is the international institution at the heart of Beijing’s 798 Art District. Each year it presents a wide range of exhibitions and educational programs, highlighting artists from China and beyond, and encouraging the public to engage with contemporary art and culture.

Ted Nash's Residency at the UCCA entails a full week of workshops, performances, and improvisational events. Seeking inspiration from UCCA’s current exhibition “Rauschenberg in China” featuring Rauschenberg’s magnum opus The 1/4 Mile or 2 Furlong Piece, Nash improvises in the Great Hall during morning sessions, and is joined by Beijing-based musicians for workshops and rehearsals in the afternoons. The week culminates in performances on 19 and 20 August in UCCA’s atrium.

ISPA's long-time member Cathy Barbash kindly sends out the invitation to you: "..if there are ISPA family members in Beijing this week, they are welcome to stop by. Emily Pei, PR Manager at UCCA (emily.pei@ucca.org.cn), can coordinate interviews and press tickets."
