Western Arts Alliance (WAA) announces a call for U.S.-based Indigenous performing artists to apply for the 2019-20 Artist Travel Assistance Fund – Round 3, beginning Monday, September 23, 2019.

Submission deadline: Friday, November 1, 5:00 pm PST

Round 3 applications are for travel between January 1 and June 30, 2020

Artists Travel Assistance Fund is a travel subsidy award program to assist U.S.-based Indigenous performing artists with building partnerships and networking with other artists or presenters, through showcases, conferences, or other related professional development activities that will lead to future presenting and touring opportunities. Travel assistance funds are not to be used by artists to research and develop new work; however, they may be used to promote work to potential presenters that is recently completed or will be tour ready within 12 months. Artist Travel Assistance Fund awards are not to be used as reimbursement for touring expenses.
