Announcing Virtual Edition: 2021 ISPA Congress Pitch New Works Projects

New York, NY, USA (November 25, 2020) – The International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA) is delighted to announce the ten selected Pitch New Works projects that will be presented at the Virtual Edition: 2021 ISPA Congress, Imagine the Arts.

These ten projects represent a diverse mix of genres and disciplines and are an exciting reflection of the new works in development across the globe. ISPA will be welcoming back Anthony Sargent CBE, CEO previously of Luminato, Toronto’s Festival of Arts & Creativity, to host the session. The ten projects include:

Pitch Projects for Virtual Edition; 2021 ISPA Congress

The Pitch New Works projects were selected from a pool of 41 applications by ISPA’s Pitch New Works Committee. The committee is chaired by Hanako Yamaguchi, formerly Director, Music Programming, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts; and includes David Baile, CEO, ISPA; Clothilde Cardinal, Director of Programming, Places Des Arts; Jonathan Holloway, former Artistic Director, Melbourne International Arts Festival; Igor Lozada, Director, Universidad de Guadalajara; and Piotr Turkiewicz, Head of International Development and Programming at the National Forum of Music in Poland.

Delegates of the upcoming Virtual Edition: 2021 ISPA Congress can catch these 10 remarkable projects at the Pitch New Works session. The session will be presented twice on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 – 9:00 – 11:00 am EST and 8:00 – 10:00 pm EST – to allow delegates in all time zones to experience it as live. Immediately following both sessions, delegates will have an opportunity to meet the presenters at ISPA’s ProEx (Professional Exchange).
