Board/Committee NominationsISPA’s Board of Directors and Standing Committee members are the stewards of our network and responsible for reflecting the views, interests, and diversity of our international members. Member participation in the nomination process is integral to effectively populating these governing bodies. ProcessEach year the Nominating Committee solicits nominations to the Board and Standing Committees from the ISPA membership. These nominations fold into the Nominating Committee’s recommendation for committee participation as well as the proposed slate of nominees for the Board at the Annual General Meeting for approval by the membership. Board of DirectorsThe Board is responsible for and entrusted with the governance and strategic direction of ISPA. It includes up to twenty-five ISPA members who reflect the diversity of the membership. Directors are appointed for an initial three year term and are eligible to sit for a maximum of two terms. Standing CommitteesThe Board is supported by eight Standing Committees: Advancement, Audit, Executive, Finance, Governance, Membership, Nominating, and Program. While a formal nomination is not required for committee participation, member input is vital as committee participation is the first step towards consideration for board membership.
