Professor Anna CY Chan is the Director of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and an internationally recognised leader with 35 years of experience in policy development, strategic planning, and advancing institutions in the performing arts sector. She has led large-scale organisational restructuring, long-term development planning, and major projects related to campus, building, and theatre infrastructure, incorporating sustainability, digital transformation, and innovation. Her leadership has strengthened internationalisation via global partnerships, interdisciplinary initiatives, and cross-border collaborations across arts, technology, and education fields. She currently serves as President of the World Dance Alliance Asia Pacific, member of the Performing Arts Committee of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, Director of the Tai Kwun Board, and Chair of its Culture and Arts Programme Committee, and advises various leading local and international organisations. Additionally, she holds academic positions in Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland, influencing international arts policy, collaboration, and cultural exchange on a global scale.
