Joon is an Arts and Cultural Leader whose work centres on celebrating and championing Asian and Asian Australian artists, cultures and communities. She brings expertise in festivals and events, creative placemaking, community-engaged practice, cultural diversity initiatives, and artist and sector development. She is currently the Festival Director of Adelaide Festival Centre’s OzAsia Festival, Australia’s annual celebration of Asian and Asian Australian contemporary arts and culture. Through the festival, Joon strengthens Australia’s connections with the Asian region, platforms Asian Australian artists, and curates experiences that resonate with Australia’s culturally diverse communities.
