 Venka PurushothamanPresident Venka Purushothaman, PhD is President of LASALLE I University of the Arts Singapore. He is an art writer, educator and university administrator with a distinguished career in Singapore's arts higher education and cultural industries. His research and writing span international cultural relations and policy, arts education, festival cultures and contemporary art. He is the editor of Issue, an annual international peer-reviewed art journal, and sits on the editorial boards of AFTERALL, published by Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London and Cultural Policy, Management and Entrepreneurship (CPME), an international academic journal in Taiwan. Venka is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts (UK) and Musashino Art University (Japan). He is a member of the Association Internationale des Critiques d'Art (France) and the International Cultural Relations Research Alliance at the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (Germany).
