 Yvonne ThamChief Executive Officer Yvonne is the Chief Executive Officer at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay. Prior to joining Esplanade in 2014, Yvonne was Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Singapore's National Arts Council and Director of Arts and Heritage Division at the then-Ministry of Information, Communications. In her public sector roles, she was involved in developing cultural policies that saw Government funding the arts for community and the arts as part of the creative industries, as well as the setting up of Singapore’s first high school dedicated to the arts, the Design Singapore Council, and the National Gallery. Yvonne had also worked at the Ministry of Manpower and once taught literature at a Junior College in Singapore. Yvonne currently sits on the boards of University of the Arts Singapore (UAS) Ltd, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), ticketing company SISTIC, and the Singapore International Film Festival. She is Chairperson of the Association of Asia Pacific Performing Arts Centres and is also on the board of the International Society of Performing Arts.
