Mika Romanus is currently Deputy Director-General of the Swedish Arts Council as well as Head of Unit there for performing arts, music and visual arts. She joined the council in connection with a contract to develop an action programme for professional dance. Romanus previously worked with cultural support issues for the City of Stockholm, performing arts questions during the European Capital of Culture year in Stockholm in 1998 and dance topics associated with the Culture Survey in 1995.
