Be Part of Something Global
Twice a year, ISPA Congresses bring together performing arts leaders from across the globe to discover new works, share knowledge, and forge lasting professional relationships. The Congress is a truly international gathering — and volunteers
are essential to making it run.
Volunteering at the ISPA Congress is a unique opportunity for students and emerging professionals to experience a world-class performing arts gathering from the inside. You'll work alongside ISPA staff and connect with delegates from organizations
around the world — all while earning a complimentary Full Pass to the Congress itself.

Who Can Apply
Eligibility Criteria
Volunteers must be under the age of 30 and not employed full-time or part-time at an ISPA member organization. It is preferred, but not required, that volunteers are currently working as an intern, either paid or unpaid, with
an arts and culture organization. Volunteers must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Current Students
Enrolled as a full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited institution. Priority will be given to those studying arts administration or other arts-related fields.
Emerging Professionals
Not currently employed full-time in the arts and culture sector.
New York Accessible
Able to travel to the ISPA office at 630 9th Ave, Suite 213 and the Times Square area for Congress days.
Not an ISPA Member Org
Not employed full-time or part-time at an ISPA member organization at the time of the Congress.
Requirements & Benefits
What You Give & What You Get
Complete 15 hours of volunteer work prior to and/or during the Congress — assisting with registration, logistics, sessions, and delegate support.
Receive a complimentary Full Pass to the Congress, granting access to keynotes, performances, sessions, and networking events throughout the gathering.
Connect with performing arts leaders and delegates from organizations across the globe — an unparalleled networking opportunity for students and early-career professionals.
Gain hands-on experience in international arts event production, delegate services, and the inner workings of a global membership organization.
Please note that your volunteer duties may preclude you from attending some sessions. Complimentary registration does not include admission to the Opening Reception
and Closing Reception, unless working the events.
All volunteers are required to attend the Volunteer Orientation and Training Session on Saturday, January 9th, 2027 at 11am. Immediately following the orientation,
volunteers will assist with pre-congress tasks.

Confirm you meet the eligibility requirements above before beginning your application. Volunteers must be under 30 and available for the orientation and Congress dates.

Fill out the application form below. You'll be asked about your background, your interest in ISPA, your availability, and to upload your resume.

Await Confirmation
We will inform you of your application status via email by Monday, December 7, 2026 at the latest. If selected, you'll receive further details about your assignments and the volunteer orientation.
