The Barbash Arts Foundation produces the annual Lillian and Maurice Barbash J.S. Bach Competition for young string players, and supports selected other arts initiatives, Cathy Barbash Arts Consulting produces independent performing arts projects with a focus on The People's Republic of China and Cuba, as well as consulting on cultural industry infrastructure development in those countries.
