Register for DOADOAWhat exactly is DOADOA?  2013 marks the 2nd edition of DOADOA - the East African Performing Arts Market.  DOADOA provides a platform for professional networking and joint learning, brings together various stakeholders and links people, organizations, businesses, knowledge and technology with a view to create demand and develop a market for the performing arts and unlock the potential of the East African creative industry.  Through this, DOADOA creates an important opportunity for economic, social and cultural development throughout the region.

This exciting performing arts market will take place May 6th - 11th, 2013 in Jinja, Uganda.

DOADOA is a joint initiative of a number of leading creative entrepreneurs in East Africa that have joined forces to develop the market for performing arts in East Africa and unlock the potential of the East African creative industry by providing an annual platform for professional networking and mutual learning, bringing together various stakeholders in the creative industry to link people, organizations, businesses, knowledge and technology. DOADOA gives stakeholders in the music industry (e.g. musicians, music producers, music promoters, managers and music festivals), but also of other performing arts (such as drama and dance) the opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience, to network and learn. There will be conferences, discussions, seminars and practical training workshops by experts from the regional and international industry as well as informal networking sessions, mentorship opportunities and showcases by selected artists. About 200 professionals are expected to join for the second DOADOA during the one-week programme. The programme will be online as soon as experts, panelists and tutors have been confirmed.

***Entry to DOADOA is by per-registration. Entrance is at no cost, but you are expected to facilitate your own travel and accommodation. DOADOA is currently negotiating deals with our partners for travel and accommodation.
