Wild Sound Premiere at University of Notre Dame’s DeBartolo Performing Arts CenterWith a proven track record for success, ISPA’s Pitch New Works program continues to assist works in development with securing touring dates, regional agents, co-commissions, premieres, and more.

Today we’re highlighting Wild Sound, a live percussion project created by Glenn Kotche (of Wilco) and Third Coast Percussion ensemble. Wild Sound was pitched at the New York 2014 Congress last January. When pitched to ISPA delegates, the project was still deep in the development phase.

Earlier this month on October 3rd, Wild Sound had a successful premiere at ISPA member organization, the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center at Notre Dame. In the 2014/15 season, you can catch performances of Wild Sound at the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra’s Liquid Music Series (now a co-commissioner of the project), the MCA Stage at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and the Metropolitan Museum in New York. In addition, the project has picked up two impressive new collaborators, video artist Xuan and director Leslie Buxbaum Danzig (500 Clowns and Lucky Plush).
