Melbourne Wins With New Arts Center

Monash University in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, announced last August that it will build a AU $45M  (US$ 34.5M) performing arts center. Named after philanthropist Ian Potter, the Ian Potter Centre for the Performing Arts will include a revitalization of the 586-seat Alexander Theatre, with two new performance venues: a 130-seat Sound Gallery and a 200-seat Jazz Club.
