Announcing Leeuwarden-Friesland 2018 ISPA Congress
Pitch New Works Projects
Tuesday, May 1, 2018—The International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA) is delighted to announce the ten selected Pitch New Works projects that will be presented at the Leeuwarden-Friesland 2018 ISPA Congress, Off the Beaten Track, next month!
These ten projects are an exciting reflection of the new works in development across the Netherlands and the globe, representing a diverse mix of genres and disciplines. We are also thrilled to welcome local ISPA member Neil Wallace, Artistic Director, De Doelen Concerthall, to host the session. The ten projects include:

The Pitch New Works projects were selected from 40 submitted applications by ISPA’s Pitch New Works Committee. The committee is chaired by Piotr Turkiewicz, Head of the Music Management & International Relations at the National Forum of Music in Poland; and includes David Baile, CEO, ISPA; Clothilde Cardinal, Director of Programming, Place des Arts; Alison Friedman, Artistic Director Performing Arts, West Kowloon Cultural District; and Igor Lozada, Director, Universidad de Guadalajara. Annet Lekkerkerker, Managing Director, Holland Festival, joined the committee in a consulting role from the region.
Delegates of the upcoming congress in Leeuwarden can catch these 10 remarkable projects at the Pitch New Works session, Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon at De Harmonie. Immediately following the session, delegates will have an opportunity to meet the presenters at ISPA’s ProEx (Professional Exchange).
