From Akpik Theatre and Theaturtle (Canada), Kiuraq pitched at ISPA’s 2025 New York Congress and is an Indigenous-centered circumpolar piece about the Northern Lights.

Kiuraq had its world premiere at the Northern Arts and Cultural Centre in Yellowknife, Canada, in September, 2025 and then played at four remote towns in the Northwest Territories.

The piece then toured to the Suialaa Arts Festival in Nuuk, Greenland and to the Sámi National Theatre and throughout the Sápmi region of Norway, Sweden, and Finland. Kiuraq was also featured at the PuSh Festival in Vancouver in January, 2026.

Additionally, The New York Times ran a featured story about the development and impact of Kiúryaq in November, 2025.
