Registration Now Open for ISPA 2027 New York Congress

January 12 – 14, 2027

New York, NY, USA (September 8, 2026) – Registration is now open for the ISPA 2027 New York Congress, Rising Voices. Welcoming all cultures, regions, genres, and disciplines within the performing arts field, more than 500 delegates from 60 regions around the world are expected to attend in-person.

“Under the leadership of co-chairs Emily Ansenk (General Director; Holland Festival) and Paul Tam (Executive Director, Performing Arts; West Kowloon Cultural District Authority), the 2027 Planning Committee thoughtfully offers a dialogue that is relevant and timely given the current global environment.” said CEO David Baile. Baile added, “Who gets to be heard and who gets left out is being contested and redrawn across the arts world right now, from funding decisions to programming choices to whose stories reach the stage. This is a pivotal moment for global arts leaders to gather — to listen across borders, affirm the power of international exchange, and explore together how our sector can respond to this moment.”

Congress Theme: Rising Voices

Rising Voices is an invitation to listen closely — to the artists, leaders, and communities whose voices are shaping the performing arts world today. The ISPA 2027 New York Congress will highlight new perspectives and the role of international exchange in fostering shared understanding and innovation. Join us as we explore how the global arts sector can respond to this moment with empathy, creativity, and purpose.

The Congress theme will be explored through a variety of discussions presented in various formats ensuring a highly interactive three days. Popular programs promoting global exchange of the arts, include Pitch New Works and ProEx (Professional Exchange), will once again be held. The annual ISPA awards will be presented honoring some of the sector’s top leaders and innovations/initiatives. The Congress will be returning to the iconic Times Center.
