ISPA Award Recipient Mario Espinosa2019 International Citation of Merit Recipient Trained professionally at the University Theater Center of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, a fellow in the past by the International Theater Institute in Germany and the British Council in England, Espinosa worked until a few days ago as the theater coordinator of the Instituto Mexicano del Social Security (IMSS), where he often combined his tasks of theater promotion throughout the country with his work as stage director. Among his most recent productions are those of the operas Fausto, by Gounod; La Traviata, by Verdi, and La hija de Rapaccini, by Octavio Paz, in addition to Blanco's Room , by Estela Leñero, and Palinuro on the Staircase, by Fernando del Paso.
