The Museum of the Arts of the University of Guadalajara (MUSA) exhibits more than 900 objects that make up the exhibition of the director and the Oscar winner, Guillermo del Toro. In this exhibition, we find the pieces that have served him as an inspiration and others that approach us to the creative process of Del Toro through costumes, notebooks, drawings, personal objects and characters from his films, supplemented with more than 300 works by the most important Mexican authors. This is the last time these pieces are exhibited outside his house-museum Bleak House.

The Ministry of Culture of Jalisco is pleased to announce a special concert of the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra in honor of ISPA Guadalajara’s delegates from around the world. We are thrilled to have you in Guadalajara and we wish to celebrate this extraordinary gathering of hearts and minds around the arts with a special program featuring some of the most celebrated and profound orchestral pieces by Mexican composers.

Jalisco’s Philharmonic Orchestra was the lauded host orchestra to Domingo’s Operalia in 2015 and it triumphed in prestigious concert halls around the world. In Guadalajara their audiences are passionate, young and demanding. The ensemble is one of Latin America’s finest orchestras and we want ISPA’s delegates to enjoy and attest it’s might, precision and color.

The concert takes place under the conduction of the orchestra’s Musical and Artistic Director, Jesús Medina, on Thursday 30 at 8:30 pm in Jalisco’s Teatro Degollado. This venue is located at the very center of downtown Guadalajara and entrance is free for all ISPA delegates and members showing a congress badge.

As an ISPA delegate, you have a full access to FIMPRO's showcases and events. Simply present your Guadalajara ISPA Congress name badge when you enter the venue.

Thebes is covered with the carcasses of its animals; for no apparent reason, they have slowly started dying off. Following the unrest this plague has caused in the city, the oracle Tiresias declares: “A human has snuck in among the beasts. He has seized upon all savagery imaginable. Find the animal and Thebes will be reborn.” King Oedipus, determined to reestablish his city’s well-being, begins a blind hunt in search of the transgressor.
