The Strength Within Us

The Strength Within Us, together we are stronger. The Guadalajara 2019 ISPA Congress’ mission is to shine a spotlight on Jalisco, Mexico and Latin America as well as their context and place in the global community.

There is a strength within us both as a Latinx community as well as a Mexican and Jalisco community. Each community’s identity adds to the common one. It is our common identity that gives us strength to develop, empower ourselves, and flourish. There is strength within us as cultural and artistic creators and directors. Culture is a tool and a force for building a diverse and globalized world that’s critical in spirit and willing to redesign itself on the basis of constant reflection.

The theme of The Strength Within Us was addressed through different sessions and perspectives from local, regional, and international voices throughout the congress. There has been a strong emphasis on exploring narratives from the past, present, and future. More than 450 delegates joined us as together we explored the strength within us!
