To Connect Beyond
Joanna C. Lee

Joanna C. Lee

Founder
Museworks Limited
Hong Kong, China

Joanna C. Lee attended London’s Royal College of Music and completed her PhD at New York’s Columbia University. Having worked in the non-profit world and academia, she started Museworks Limited in 2002, building cultural bridges between the US, Europe and Asia. She helped facilitate such new works as San Francisco Opera’s The Bonesetter’s Daughter and Dream of the Red Chamber and Asia Society Hong Kong’s trilingual chamber opera Mila. She has also served as cultural advisor to Broadway shows: David Henry Hwang's Chinglish and revival of M Butterfly. Language translation is important in our global village, being able to bridge the cultural divide is even more important.
