![]() Alan Lucien ØyenFounder & Artistic Director Øyen is one of the most exciting artists from Norway today, whose work as writer, director and choreographer has been highly acclaimed in his home country and abroad. He creates work for theatre and dance companies world-wide and was among the first artists to create full-length work for Tanztheater Wuppertal after the death of Pina Bausch. Whether it’s theatre, dance, film or opera, his works have a highly emotional, cinematic and dramatic drive. His works are often based on real life experiences, sourcing material from the performers and the rehearsal process in the shaping of the final narrative. Always in pursuit of a sincere and human expression. He is house choreographer with the Norwegian Opera House. His own company – winter guests, (est. 2006), tours and co-produces theatre and dance internationally, with partners such as NTCH Taipei, The Kennedy Centre Washington and International Theatre Amsterdam. He will open the fall season 2022, with a full length work for Paris Opera Ballet. Speaker |
