Julie Meletta is a Swiss artist with French roots, born in 1992 to a Parisian mother and a Swiss father. She grew up in Ticino, in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, making her bilingual in French and Italian.

Her academic journey led her to study philosophy at the universities of Fribourg and Lausanne, where she earned a Master’s degree. It was during these years that she discovered the world of jam sessions, an experience that ignited her passion for songwriting and live performance. After university, she decided to fully dedicate herself to her two great passions: music and radio.

Julie officially launched her music career in 2023 with the release of her debut EP, CHIC!, under the Swiss label Phonag. The EP quickly gained recognition, breaking into the top 50 of the Swiss Airplay Charts and granting her access to some of Switzerland’s most prestigious festivals, including the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Gurten Festival.

Building on this success, in November 2024, she released her second EP, Amarcoeur, which also made it onto the charts. One of its standout singles, Fan Fiction, was accompanied by a music video that was selected among the best Swiss music videos at the Solothurn Film Festival (Journées de Soleure), a major event in Swiss cinema.

Julie’s growing visibility and artistic evolution led her to sign with the Parisian label Alter-K, marking an important step in her international career and opening new doors in the French music scene. In January 2025, she was named Best Talent by SRF3.

Currently, she is preparing to write the second chapter of Amarcoeur, a project that promises to deepen her artistic exploration of love, emotions, and storytelling, always infused with her signature mix of irony, poetry, and cinematic imagery.
