Rarița Zbranca (PhD) is a cultural expert with experience in arts management, curating, cultural research, and advocacy. She currently serves as Programme Director at the Cluj Cultural Centre (since 2017), where she co-designs strategies and programmes that leverage culture for sustainable development. She is the co-founder of the AltArt Foundation (1997) and Fabrica de Pensule (2009), an independent contemporary art space in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Rarița is a member of the Culture and Education Committee of the Economic and Social Council of Romania and a member of the European Expert Network on Culture (EENC). Her work spans local, national, and EU levels, with a focus on cultural policy, arts and health, and culture-driven development. She has led the elaboration of Cluj-Napoca’s Cultural Strategy through several planning cycles and played a key role in the city’s bid for the European Capital of Culture. She is the lead author of the CultureForHealth Report (2022) and curator of the Culture and Well-being Forum in Romania. Speaker |
