Jimena Lara currently serves as Chief Culture and Social Impact Officer and Director of Anglo Arts at The Anglo Mexican Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to offering educational and cultural opportunities within a British-Mexican context.

She holds a BA in Communication from the Universidad Iberoamericana, and an MA in Media, Culture and Communication from New York University. She served as Director-General of International Affairs at the Ministry of Culture of Mexico; Director of International Affairs at the National Institute of Fine Arts, and held positions in the National Fund for Culture and the Arts; Auditorio Nacional, and the Mexican Cultural Institute of New York.

She is a Salzburg Global Seminar Fellow and has sat in several governing bodies, including The Anglo Mexican Foundation, Centro Cultural La Quinta Montes Molina, the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA) and The Bergman Chair of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
