Nico Daswani is a cultural producer, arts executive and children's book author, with a 20-year international track-record of fostering inclusion and innovation through the arts. Nico is currently Managing Director at Advisory Board for the Arts, a unique combination of a research firm, consultancy and global interdisciplinary network, with the ambition to help transform the cultural sector and benefit local communities worldwide. From 2013 to 2021, he was Head of Arts and Culture at the World Economic Forum, where he was also a senior member of the team responsible for the official programme of Davos. Previously he worked as a programmer and producer in several arts organizations in London, Los Angeles and New York for 12 years, including with the City of London Festival, UCLA Center for Intercultural Performance/World Festival of Sacred Music-LA, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian and Asian American Arts Alliance. He co-initiated and executive-produced the first international tour of the Afghan Women's Orchestra, a global media phenomenon (2017). He is an executive producer of Lynette Wallworth’s Emmy-Award winning VR films on the lives of indigenous leaders, "Collisions," (2016) which he invited to premiere at Davos, and "Awavena" (2018).
