Martin Sher has spent his career in service to the performing arts, first as a performer (viola, sorry!) with the Colorado Symphony and Berlin Philharmonic. Martin transitioned to arts administration where he has served in various roles at the Indianapolis Symphony, the North Carolina Symphony and now at the New World Symphony where he is the Senior VP for Artistic Planning and Programs. Martin is also active as a consultant and advisor where in addition to serving as Artistic Advisor to the NC Symphony, he also consults for such organizations as the Shepherd School at Rice University, and the Fjord Cadenza Festival (Norway). Through his deep interest in technology and arts commerce, Martin founded CulturePath, a performing arts marketplace that housed 250 projects with 350+ participating institutions across 25 countries. Now, through TempusArts, he is focused on bringing the arts into a new realm of connectivity and realized value. Speaker |
