Paul Tam has served as Executive Director of the Performing Arts Division at the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA) since 2020. In this role, Mr Tam oversees a growing portfolio of venues, three by 2026, and commissions, produces and presents a diverse, international multi-arts programme at one of the world’s largest arts and cultural precincts.

Prior to joining WKCDA, Mr Tam was Executive Director of the Hong Kong Ballet, where he oversaw its strategic development, institutional advancement, brand-building, education and community outreach and international touring.

Other previous key executive roles in which he has served include Director of Marketing of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and General Manager of the Hong Kong International Literary Festival. Mr Tam was a Vilar Fellow at the Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts.

Mr Tam is former Chairman and current Board Member of the Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association, Governor of the Federation of Asian Cultural Promotion and Advancement Committee Member of International Society for the Performing Arts.

A pianist and composer by training, Mr Tam received a degree in Piano Performance and an MBA in Arts Administration from York University, Canada.
