Tracy Day, co-founder and CEO of the World Science Festival, oversees all creative and programmatic content, shaping theatrical, film, and musical works that fuse scientific ideas with artistic expression. Her productions include Icarus at the Edge of Time, a multimedia orchestral work by Brian Greene and Philip Glass; Alan Alda’s stage pieces Dear Albert and Radiance; Time and the Creative Cosmos with Pilobolus at Lincoln Center; Starry Night at The Kennedy Center; and Light Falls, a PBS national special with WNET’s Great Performances. She is also co-executive producer of two Audible Original podcasts. Previously, she spent over two decades as an award-winning broadcast journalist, producing news, documentaries, and investigative specials for ABC, PBS, CNN, Discovery, Lifetime, and CNBC. She reported on the fall of the Berlin Wall, Nelson Mandela’s release, the Gulf War, and drug wars in Colombia. Her honors include four National News Emmys, a Clarion Award, a CINE Golden Eagle, and a Silver HUGO.
