Victor Morales

Professor, Artist
Montclair State University
United States

Victor E. Morales is a Venezuelan-born multimedia artist, animator, and educator whose work explores the intersection of performance, virtual reality, and generative media. Currently a full-time faculty member at Montclair State University’s College of Communication and Media, Morales creates immersive worlds that merge theatrical philosophy with real-time 3D and AI systems.

His projects—such as Rapid Transit, Desastres de la Guerra VR, and Esperpento (Sundance New Frontier 2019)—combine experimental storytelling, political critique, and technological innovation. Over a career spanning two decades, Morales has worked across broadcast design (MTV Networks, 2000–2007), experimental theater in Europe and the U.S., and independent XR development.

His practice bridges academia and creative research, focusing on how emerging tools like Unreal Engine, TouchDesigner, and generative AI can expand cinematic and performative languages in hybrid physical–digital spaces.
