Joshua Alabi is an award-winning theatre and film director, writer, and producer, creative strategist, teacher and consultant. He won the 2023 Netherlands Film Festival's Golden Calf Award for Best Digital Culture for Africa's first full digital/MR theatre project ‘Dear Beloved Friend’, won the 2023 Kuss Festival Prize for 'Kolofu' and the Mervin Stutter Awards at Edinburgh Fringe 2014.

He is the Founder/Artistic Director of Kininso Koncepts and Co-Convener of the African Festivals Network. He’s known for socially engaging and culturally innovative work in theatre and film. His international work includes “Imagination TV,” projects in Germany, and selection for the Catalyst Story Institute USA. He’s the Producer/Founder of KIFT, Nigeria's largest International Children’s Theatre Festival. His recent international work includes 'Waterside' and UK/Germany/France tours with 'Sandscape,' Nigeria's longest-touring show. He's worked in 15+ African countries, Europe, the Americas, and is starting new collaborations in Australia, Canada & the UAE.
