María Alzamora Arévalo is a Colombian performing artist, teacher, yoga instructor, cultural manager, and producer. She holds a double degree in Contemporary Dance from the Universidad Distrital ASAB (Colombia) and the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (Mexico), obtained in 2016. She is the founder and director of La Manada Casa Productora, an independent platform with a gender-focused approach that promotes sustainable ecosystems for contemporary dance and the performing arts. From this platform, she leads Movida Sur FIAC, an international contemporary art festival based in Bogotá that has taken place annually for the past seven years.

Her artistic practice weaves together contemporary dance, physical theater, and cultural rights for access to the arts, addressing themes such as identity, memory and mental health. She has participated in artistic management, training, and performance events in Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, Spain, Costa Rica, and Cuba, and has collaborated with national and international companies and choreographers over more than fifteen years of artistic career in Bogotá and México.
