Fellowship Participants![]() Elroy Fillis-BellChief Executive Officer Elroy Fillis-Bell holds degrees in Theatre Directing and Drama Education and is completing his MAin Cultural Policy and Management. He has a background in theatre and dance curation and production, arts programme development, teaching, copyright licensing and arts management. He has served as Company Manager for the award-winning Siwela Sonke Dance Theatre, based in Durban, with work focusing on dance theatre education and public art performances. Elroy ran the South African copyright licensing division for visual arts, theatre and literature for five years while at the Dramatic, Artistic and Literary Rights Organisation (DALRO). He subsequently led operations at the Javett Art Centre at the University of Pretoria until August 2023. In his current role as Joburg Ballet CEO, he is driving growth and professional development while broadening the organisation’s collaborations both locally and internationally. Elroy is passionate about showcasing the arts as an invaluable part of community growth and advocates for contextualising our artistic work both socially and geographically.
