Fellowship Participants![]() Kura Te UaArtistic Director/Producer Kura Te Ua is a Māori creative and arts leader based in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa. She is the founder of Hawaiki Tū, a haka theatre company dedicated to revitalising indigenous performance through haka, theatre, and storytelling. Her work is grounded in whakapapa and centres the reclamation and evolution of Māori narratives for contemporary and global audiences. Kura is also the founder of Autaia and a long-standing member of Te Waka Huia, contributing to collaborative initiatives that uplift Māori voices and strengthen creative leadership within community and performance spaces. With an established practice, she is committed to cultural integrity, collective storytelling, and intergenerational knowledge exchange.
