Swedish Performing Arts

Ulrika Holmgaard has been CEO of Swedish Performing Arts since 2011, an employee and trade organisation. She represents Swedish Performing Arts in numerous contexts, including the boards of Trygghetsrådet TRS, the Dance Alliance and the Theatre Alliance, as well as the Nordic Theatre Leadership Council (NTLR) and Pearle*, the European trade federation of Performing Arts organisations and enterprises, and is currently Chairman of Swedish ITI. Holmgaard previously held the position as the Councilor of Cultural Affairs at the Swedish Embassy in Berlin, where she worked to highlight Swedish culture and sought to establish a large network of contacts across Europe. Holmgaard has an extensive background in Swedish theatre, and has been a producer and administrative leader of the Royal Dramatic Theatre's operations at Elverket. Holmgaard was an entrepreneur for almost a decade during the 90s, when she started Grupp 98 at Theatre Plaza with Thorsten Flinck and also founded the youth programme Lava at Kulturhuset in Stockholm.
