Hamawi is the National Director of Cultural Industries of the Argentine Presidential Office’s Ministry of Culture. He specializes in publishing, cultural management, contemporary philosophy, strategic marketing and export consortia. Hamawi acts as the Secretary General of Argentina’s Book Chamber CAL (from its original Spanish language initials - Cámara Argentina del Libro) , since 2005, and former president of the Commission of Foreign Trade of Argentina’s Book Chamber between 2001 and 2003.
