Announcing ISPA's 100th Congress
Friday, November 18, 2016
Place des Arts and the entire Host Committee, I would like to take this opportunity to officially launch registration for ISPA’s 100th Congress, Identities/ Identités, to be held in Montréal. Next year marks a number of important anniversaries for ISPA as well as our host region. In 2017, Canada will celebrate its 150th year as a country and Montréal will recognize the 375th anniversary of its founding.
Known as La belle province ("the beautiful province"), this will be ISPA’s first visit to Québec and only our second time in a Francophone region (Paris, 1992). We are delighted that our hosts will be providing simultaneous translation in English and French and that all materials will be similarly bilingual. Montréal is a vibrant and diverse city with a rich cultural life. Delegates will enjoy a tapestry of performance opportunities as the congress dates coincide with the opening week of the Festival TransAmériques – an annual international event celebrating new works in contemporary dance and theater.
Join us from May 23rd to 27th as we explore the performing arts, the concept of identity and the remarkable cultural scene of Québec and indeed all of Canada.
I invite you to visit the Montréal 2017 ISPA Congress website for more information and also suggest that you bookmark it as we will be undertaking regular updates. In addition, please find below a few of the most popular FAQ’s and links to the answers:
