Henry Arteaga | Speaker
Crew Peligrosos

Henry Arteaga is the founder of “Crew Peligrosos”, a Hip - hop group of Medellin where he started out as “B Boy” and went on to be one of “Crew’s” MCs. He spontaneously founded, and currently manages 4 Elementos Skuela, a Hip - hop school that currently hosts over 400 young people a week in Aranjuez. The school is located in one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in Medellin, Colombia. To enable this process, a group of the “Crew’s” talented artists volunteer their time to train their students on the four basic art forms of Hip Hop: MCing (rapping), DJing, B Boy and graffiti art. A process that began as a collective art is now one of the most important art programs in the city. This process also fosters the transformation of various communities, as well as an army of peaceful artists and leaders. The music Henry Arteaga plays has reached such high levels in Colombia that it now helps attract global visibility to this form of training.
