Elisa Carrillo Cabrera was born in Texcoco, Mexico. Her training as a professional dancer began at the National Classic and Contemporary Dance School of the National Institution of Arts and Literature of México (INBAL) and then at the English National Ballet School in England.
She has a degree as teacher of Ballet given by the Ministry of culture from the German Republic and the John Cranko Schule Stuttgart in Germany. She is also an Ambassador of Mexican Culture, designated by the National Council for the Culture and the Arts (Conaculta) and the Mexican congress. She also is member of the International Dance Council of UNESCO and co-artistic director of the National Dance Company in México.
Nacido en Texcoco, Estado de México. Su formación como bailarina profesional comenzó en la Escuela Nacional de Danza Clásica y Contemporánea del Instituto Nacional de Artes y Letras de México (INBAL) y luego en la Escuela Nacional de Inglés de Ballet en Inglaterra.
Es licenciada como profesora de ballet por el Ministerio de Cultura de la República Alemana y John Cranko Schule Stuttgart en Alemania. También es la Embajadora de la Cultura Mexicana, designada por el Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes (Conaculta) y el congreso mexicano. También es miembro del Consejo Internacional de Danza de la UNESCO y co-directora artística de la Compañía Nacional de Danza en México.
