Riot Artists
United States - Estados Unidos
Bill Smith started Eye for Talent in 1997 focused initially on Brazilian music but shortly thereafter began touring in North America artists from other parts of the world. With academic studies at George Washington University in international affairs his focus was generally on events outside of the US. Initially working with two local artists near San Francisco, he soon reached out seeking artists already more prominent in their respective cultures to tour them in North America. Some of the first artists Eye for Talent represented were Olodum, and Jorge Ben Jor from Brazil, and Ad Vielle Que Pourra from Quebec. More recent tours included Salif Keita, Ana Moura, Hermeto Pascoal, Egberto Gismonti, Tinariwen, La Bottine Souriante, Paris Combo, DakhaBrakha, Dakh Daughters, The Manganiyar Seduction and many others. While the agency is still very actively booking its artists in North America the agency now books many shows in Europe, Latin America & Asia as well
