 Simon CurtisChair Simon acts as the Convenor for the GMAST network which brings together the cultural and creative community across Greater Manchester to address the climate and ecological crisis. Through GMAST he worked on C-Change, Arts and Culture Leading Climate Action in Cities which shared the Manchester model with five other European Cities across a 3-year project. He represents culture at the Manchester Climate Change Partnership which works with the Manchester Climate Change Agency, Manchester communities and partners to ensure the city develops and successfully implements a climate change strategy aligned with the latest science and built on the views of city stakeholders. He also works as consultant with many cultural organisations, practitioners, and cities on their approach to linking culture and climate. Prior to this he enjoyed an extensive career in performing arts and live event production. Speaker |
