Tongai Makawa is a creative community activist and organizer, as well as being an emcee/artist and spoken-word workshop facilitator. He is Co-founder and Operations Director at Magamba Network, one of Africa’s leading creative and digital media organisations working on the cutting edge of arts, digital media, activism & civic tech. Under his stage name Outspoken, he has travelled and toured Southern Africa, the United States, Denmark, Germany, Norway, the United Kingdom and also performed in Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Kenya, Senegal, Reunion Island, Serbia among other nations. His art-form has been studied in Canada, United States and Germany.
