Director of Pontio Arts
Pontio Arts, Bangor University
United Kingdom

Osian Gwynn is the Director of Pontio Arts, a multi art form creative hub that is part of Bangor University, North-West Wales. Osian has been at the helm for three years, delivering and arts programme of the highest quality and a breadth of community outreach projects – online through the pandemic and in-person, as the sector re-builds post-Covid.

Previously, Osian worked for the Arts Council of Wales and as a freelance opera singer. He has a passion for inclusion and ensuring the arts are for all of Bangor and the region’s varied communities, platforming and representing diversity within a rural setting. North-West Wales is unique in the fact that the Welsh Language is spoken by the majority of the population and Pontio houses many bilingual and multi-lingual projects and productions.
