Faye Kabali-Kagwa is a Ugandan-South African cultural curator, arts coordinator, and arts writer. In 2023 she was the curator for the Cradle of Creativity, a roving biennial international theatre festival hosted by ASSITEJ South Africa. The festival boasted 26 productions with programming that targeted children from 18 months to 19 years.

Faye builds interventions that go beyond artistic output and is interested in the audience as engaged contributors to her work. This has allowed her to connect people and audiences across platforms and disciplines which include theatre, literature, film, and emerging technology. She has curated work for SummerWorks Toronto, and the Fak’ugesi African Digital Innovation Festival. She is also a media advisor for IDFA Doc Labs, and has served on the artistic committee for the STRP festival (Netherlands), and KIKK Festival (Belgium).

Faye is a fellow of the VANSA Cultural Leadership Programme (2022), PACE+ Dramaturgy Lab 2021, and the Salzburg Global Seminar’s Cultural Innovators programme (2019). In 2021 she was recognised as one of the Mail & Guardian’s Top 200 Young South Africans.
