Emma Castro Møller has built their curatorial practice championing genre defying performance, community embedded projects and advocating for LGBTQIA+ inclusion, and solidarity in the performance sector.

Emma works as Co-Director at the multidisciplinary arts organisation Warehouse9 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Warehouse9 supports the development and presentation of work and ideas by queer artists through residencies, community programmes and the performance festival ‘IPAF’. Emma has initiated and led bold international projects, long-standing collaborations, implemented nurturing modes of production and consolidated Warehouse9 through organisational growth.

Additionally, they have a long-term collaboration with UK curator Mary Osborn (osborn&møller), which has resulted in international programmes including their festival ‘Bodies Beyond Borders’ and three years as Curators-in-Residence with City of Women in Ljubljana.

As an independent producer, Emma has worked closely with artists and festivals, including Poppy Jackson, Manuel Vason, SPILL Festival of Performance and many others.

Emma’s background in social practice underlies their work.
